Dr. Galles completed her psychiatry residency at UC San Diego after attending medical school at the University of Iowa. She also earned her BA in Human Biology at Stanford University. Dr. Galles has served as Resident Psychiatrist at UCSD in inpatient and outpatient settings and with a particular focus on college mental health. She has also worked as an outpatient psychiatrist at the Family Health Center of San Diego.
Dr. Galles believes that taking care of our mental health requires that we address our overall health and well-being, including eating habits, exercise, cultivating healthy relationships, and finding meaning in our day to day life. She has a particular interest in college student mental health and helping young adults build a healthy foundation to succeed in achieving their goals.
In her free time, Dr. Galles enjoys surfing, mountain biking, rock climbing, and anything else outdoors.
