Johnna Jackson, M.S.W., ACSW (88782)*

Associate Therapist

    Johnna received her Master’s of Social Work from Hunter College and her Bachelor’s of Arts in Criminal Justice from Morris College. She also has training in Motivational Interviewing from The Institute for Advanced Medicine: Mount Sinai and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Johnna worked in a middle school setting providing individual, family and group sessions, and worked with trauma survivors in a therapeutic capacity ranging in age from 3 – 17 years old. Prior to working in the mental health field, Johnna traveled to Rishikesh, India, where she completed a 500 hour yoga teacher training certification.

    She utilizes Narrative Therapy interventions and relies on her extensive background teaching yoga to provide clients with mindfulness-based practices that they can employ far beyond their time at Paradigm. Johnna believes that every person is inherently whole regardless of the adversities with which they have been faced, and her goal is to assist clients with developing coping mechanisms and life skills to thrive. When she isn’t working, Johnna enjoys practicing and teaching yoga, and henna art.
