Matthew is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, well versed in working with adolescents and transitional-aged youth. He has clinical experience working as a mental health clinician, case manager, HIV/STI counselor and in private practice settings. Matthew has extensive mindfulness training, meditation practice and knowledge of psychodynamic and existential therapies. At San Francisco State University, he earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boston College. He gained direct clinical experience with individuals, couples and groups at SFSU Queer Life Space. Matthew draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities and actively works from a humanistic perspective that is evidence based and trauma informed. His hobbies include meditation, mindfulness and exploring the outdoors.
