Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

    Nicole completed her Master’s of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California – Santa Barbara. She gained clinical experience working at a methadone clinic treating clients struggling with severe substance abuse as well as co-occurring disorders such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. Beyond her clinical background, Nicole has years of experience working as a Youth Development Professional at the Boys and Girls Club. While there, she created and implemented teen programs centering on leadership, healthy lifestyles, college success, and socio-emotional wellness. Nicole is a person–centered therapist who utilizes a Cognitive-Behavioral approach. She balances empathy with challenging negative thought processes while utilizing strengths-based interventions to help clients gain confidence and self-awareness. Nicole believes in creating strong therapeutic relationships by promoting trust and communication in a mindful, safe, and inviting environment.
