Respecting and Honoring Indigenous Practices in the Therapeutic Field

December 1, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Please join us for this process-style group session which will empower you with valuable information, interventions, and support to imbue your clients with confident, clear, and culturally sensitive, identity-affirming therapy!

Presented by Paradigm SHIFT, a comprehensive program developed by Paradigm Treatment that actively works to combat racism and prejudice in mental health treatment while increasing diversity, inclusion, and cultural competency.

Facilitated by Siana Orun-Walker
Director of Client Development & Initiatives at Paradigm Treatment

Why Join?

We will be discussing ways to bring promising solutions and tools that incorporate the integration of professional services with culturally traditional Indigenous therapeutic approaches. It is important that we remember there are many ways to heal and address mental health challenges. During this fast-paced and inspiring hour together, we will explore how we can honor and respect the cultural background of each individual we come in contact with while validating their uniqueness and individuality.

You will benefit from this FREE special program if…

√ You work with clients who inhabit one or more marginalized identities

√ You sometimes feel overwhelmed or at a loss when navigating difficult topics relating to identity, race, and culture

√ You occasionally grapple with how to be a culturally competent clinician or therapist

We hope to see you there!
