Sean holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, where he was also a Teacher’s Assistant for Clinical Interventions with Children and Adolescents. Sean was a Lead Clinical Assistant at Paradigm for four years, which inspired him to become a therapist and return to support and empower youth and families with warmth and sensitivity. Sean’s clinical training focused on relational approaches to trauma in a community mental health setting. Sean helps individuals, couples, and families discover their authentic selves by encouraging nourishing connections with peers, families, and communities. Sean specializes in LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy to support youth who are experiencing stressful events specific to their identities. Sean channels his personal life experiences, recovery work, and devotion to helping others into his support for youth experiencing substance misuse. Sean deeply believes that healing can and does happen when a youth is genuinely supported in finding their own voice and power––and using it. When not supporting and challenging clients, Sean is an avid tennis player and devoted cat dad. Sean’s supervisor is Lucy Nguyen, LMFT, #101033
